Since 2013, I’ve designed and redesigned Representative Kyrsten Sinema’s campaign website multiple times. In 2017, Representative Sinema announced a Senate bid, and I worked a with a campaign strategy company to redesign her site for a statewide audience.
Since the announcement of her Senate run, that campaign has gained national attention and I’ve continued to work, continuing to improve that site. I’ve designed and developed new parts of the site to emphasize the candidates priorities and qualifications. I’ve retooled parts of it to give certain elements more visual emphasis, created subtle animations on some pages, designed and developed splash pages for election day, and more.
This year, we’ve added a Spanish-language version of the site. For that, I designed and developed an unobtrusive interface to switch languages and worked on the back-end to integrate translations, and to simply make it possible to have content in two languages.
This race was close and called a week after election day, but Kyrsten Sinema won an historic victory, becoming the first-ever woman to serve as U.S. senator from Arizona.
